Something happened in the autumn of 2005. A group of women took a prenatal yoga class on Bowery Street. And they stayed in touch, and a mother's circle grew. And many new circles grew and connected, and it became a chain. And now it is the Bowery Babes which is a large collection of local moms in lower Manhattan.

Bowery Babes is a NY non-profit, dedicated to supporting women from pregnancy through the early years of motherhood and beyond; and to protect and enrich downtown Manhattan as a place to raise a family. Founded in 2005, and established as a non-profit in 2009.
